The Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov asks the Minister of Justice Prof. Yanaki Stoilov to make an inspection at the Registry Agency. This became known from a specially recorded video statement of Katsarov, sent to the media.
The reason for the request of the Minister of Health is the fact that the registration of the new management of Lozenets Hospital was suspended following a ruling by the Sofia City Court on 7 June. The agency has already explained to BNR that “registration officials have not ruled in connection with the registration / refusal to register any circumstances on the account of Lozenets Hospital, as the Sofia City Court has stopped this possibility.”
However, Katsarov wants Stoilov “to check the legality of the actions of the director of the Registry Agency Gabriela Kozareva and if he finds that she has exceeded her powers and violated the law, to dismiss her from her position.” He himself believes that in this case it is a question of exceeding powers: “The role of the Registry Agency is to enter these changes in the register and the refusal of the agency to do so goes beyond its legal powers.”
