Don’t play around with the time when together with Shin Tae-yong, the Indonesian national team player was sent home because he was late.
A firm decision was taken by the coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, by sending one of the players prepared for the 2023 Asian Cup Play-Off match. The reason was that the player was late at the hotel.
Actually there are 30 players prepared by the Indonesian national team for the 2023 Asian Cup Play-Off match against Chinese Taipei. However, with Tae-yong’s decision, there are now only 29 players left for the important match later.
The player who was sent home was a wing-back belonging to Borneo FC, Rifad Marasabessy. Tae-yong is known as a very disciplined coach, so don’t play around in matters of time when the team is led by him.

“Rifad (Marasabessy) came beyond the appointed time to gather at the hotel. He didn’t tell me the reason for the delay. That’s why I took him out of the training camp,” Tae-yong said.
Actually it’s not the first time Tae-yong has made a big decision in scratching or returning a player. This has been done to some previous players, such as Yudha Febrian, Nurhidayat, to Serdy Ephyfano.

Instead of Rifad, Tae-yong has chosen Bali United winger Yabes Roni Malaifani. This is a great opportunity for Yabes, who once broke up with the Indonesia U-19 national team in the Indra Sjafri era.
