Chelsea again really solid in the Premier League, winning continuously and it’s hard to concede. Word César Azpilicueta, the secret The Blues are doing the ‘dirty work’.
The latest Chelsea win 2-0 over Everton at Stamford Bridge, England, Tuesday (9/3/2021) early morning hrs in continued Premier League. The Blues managed to secure three points, through Ben Godfrey’s own goal and Jorginho’s penalty.
Chelsea was now firmly in position four Premier League standings. The London club has temporarily collected 50 points from 28 matches. Everton, are still in sixth place with 46 points from 27 matches.
Manager Thomas Tuchel was quite successful in bringing the Blues to compete at the top. In fact, Chelsea’s defense is getting stronger.
The proof is from the nine matches in the Premier League, Chelsea have conceded only twice. In fact, in his five consecutive home games, Chelsea have always been clean sheets aka not conceding!
Captain Chelsea, César Azpilicueta asked about the secret of Chelsea’s solid defense. Azpilicueta said his team was doing “dirty work”.
“We did the ‘dirty work’. We secured the ball starting with the attackers,” he told BT Sport after the match against Everton.
“We have a high line of defense, are not afraid to duel, and do not hesitate to commit offenses,” he explained.

Even so, Chelsea commit violations that are still clean. In a sense, did not receive a yellow card which has not been penalized in his last two league games.
“The players work hard, trust each other and enjoy the game. Our defense is one of the important aspects of winning games,” said Azpilicueta.
“Hence, we continue to make the opponent uncomfortable and play our own game,” concluded the Spanish right-back.
