“I will not participate in the Paris 2024 Paralympics. I will compete”. This is the slogan of a campaign, supported via social media by some of the world’s leading Paralympic athletes, launched by International Paralympic Committee (Ipc) to defeat linguistic prejudices.
The athletes who have joined
According to the IPC website, the Italian company has joined the campaign Amber Sabatini, Australian Curtis McGrath and Argentinian Gustavo Fernandez, but also Baby Saw and other blues, to remember that Paralympic athletes have often been praised simply for taking part in sport and not for their sporting ability or fierce will to win.
