Mutiara Annisa Baswedan, the eldest daughter of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, was officially married to Ali Saleh Alhuraiby, Friday (29/7/2022). The two of them got married in the morning.
Before getting married, Mutiara did the girlfriend’s night tradition. This moment is usually done by Arab blooded brides.
Girlfriend night is a ritual performed the day before marriage, where the bride and groom decorate their finger and toe nails with Henna. This event is only attended by family or female friends.

At that moment, Mutiara or who is familiarly called Tia looked elegant in a green dress full of beads. Her long hair was left loose and she wore a veil that matched the color of her dress.
Her beautiful appearance is similar to the figure of Princess Jasmine from the Aladdin fairy tale. Tia’s hands also seem to have been decorated with beautiful henna motifs with grooves and flowers.
The day after their girlfriend’s night, Tia and Ali Salih held the marriage agreement. The Ijab and Kabul were pronounced by Anies Baswedan and Ali Saleh Alhuraiby in Arabic.
Ustaz Adi Hidayat was one of the guests at Mutiara and Ali Saleh’s marriage contract. Apart from Adi Hidayat, a number of scholars and other community leaders were also present. They include Prof. Quraish Shihab, Habib Nabiel Almusawa, Sheikh Abdullah Jaydi, KH Syukron Ma’mun, Ustaz Salim A Fillah to Habib Zein.
