Beauden Barrett’s Game-Changing Try in World Cup Final: New Zealand vs. South Africa

This time it’s the right one! A few minutes after a try was refused to Aaron Smith and the All Blacks on a forward (54th), New Zealand fullback Beauden Barrett flattened again in the South African goal (58th) , the test being this time validated by the refereeing body. This is the first and so far only try in the World Cup final, New Zealand – South Africa.

After a long sequence of possession for the All Blacks, Jordie Barrett sent a long pass to his winger Mark Telea who eliminated several South Africans before serving with one hand to Beauden Barrett who went to complete this personal feat of his teammate.

This test allows the All Blacks, in bad shape in the first half, to materialize their form at the start of the second half and to fully return to the match (11-12, 58th) to hope to win a fourth world title.
