Beau can be seen from January 2 with Villa Felderhof-variant Lake of Beau at RTL. In the program he will – the name says it all – interview celebrities on Lake Como in Italy. For this he is often away from home, and therefore has to miss his wife and children. The talk show host tells the talk show host that he was delighted to see his sons again last week, because of Christmas and the holidays. Three of the four have now flown out and the presenter still has to get used to that.

His 20-year-old twins are studying in Amsterdam and Groningen and the middle 18-year-old works as a ski instructor in Austria. Only the youngest of 16 is still at home, Jan. “He talks a lot, he understands me,” says Beau. “When I’m having a hard time, he says: ‘Come on, daddy, let’s cuddle’. I also hear parents who say: ‘Fine, then it’s our turn now’. Or: ‘It only became fun when they started talking “I don’t have that. I liked all ages, all phases. Even though they walked around crying all day, I still liked it. I understand that they fly out, they should do it, but I don’t think it’s fun. “

Some parents may love it when the kids fly out, but Beau would rather have kept them at home for a while. Although he also understands that this is part of life: “All those periods bring something beautiful with them. The dreams you have as a child. Then study in a time of unprecedented freedom. Then you enter a working life with or without children, but that is also something new. Until you, like now me, are left behind by your children. But that is also an adventure.”
