Beau van Erven Dorens follows residents of Amsterdam’s working-class neighborhood for a year | NOW

Beau van Erven Dorens will focus for a year on Floradorp, an old working-class neighborhood in the Amsterdam Noord district. He does that for the new program Beau in Floradorp, which can be seen on RTL 4 from 2 March.

The presenter immerses himself in the lives of various residents of the neighborhood. He talks to them about, among other things, the old village feeling of Floradorp.

For example, he speaks to a sixty-year-old Ajax player who is trying to come to terms with the death of his wife three years ago. Van Erven Dorens also meets a Syrian family of two parents and three children, who came to the Netherlands two years ago.

The series is produced by Kale Jakhals Productions. That production company also contributed to The Rotterdam Project, a program in which Van Erven Dorens followed and supported homeless people to get their lives back on track.
