Beats announces Fit Pro wireless headphones

Beats has introduced a pair of new true wireless headphones with active noise reduction, in the form of Fit Pro. The headphones are sold in the colors black, white, gray and light purple.

Apple acquired Beats in the summer of 2014, but unlike Apple’s own headphones, Beats supports Android, with platform-specific optimizations and an associated app. With the noise reduction turned on, the headphones should be able to last six hours on a single charge.

If the headphones are occasionally inserted into the case and thus charged, the total battery life will be up to 24 hours. Five minutes of charging the case should be able to provide up to one hour of playback. The case is charged with a USB-C to USB-C cable.

The headphones support “spatial audio” and are equipped with Apple’s H1 chip. Like several other wireless headphones, Fit Pro has a mode that temporarily lets in external sound, so that you can, for example, talk to someone in the environment without removing the headphones. The sound is adapted to the user’s ear shape.

Fit Pro is IPX4-rated and should be able to handle sweat and rain. The “wings” of the headphones are flexible and are intended to make the headphones sit comfortably and do not fall out. Beats sells its products in Sweden, but at the time of writing we do not see Fit Pro on the company’s Swedish site. The price in the US is $ 200.
