JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV On Thursday (11/25/2021), hundreds of people from Pemuda Pancasila held a demonstration in front of the DPR/MPR Building, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta.

In its action, Pemuda Pancasila demanded that the Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI, Junimart Girsang, apologize. This is because Junimart urged the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to bring order to a number of community organizations (Ormas), including Pemuda Pancasila.

Junimart made the statement in response to the incident of clashes between organizations involving Pancasila Youth and the Betawi Rempug Forum (FBR) in Ciledug, Tangerang City, Banten.

However, the action taken by Pemuda Pancasila to protest Junimart’s statement did not go well.

A number of members of Pemuda Pancasila were actually seen beating the Head of Ops Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Dermawan Karosekali.

As a result of the beating, AKBP Dermawan Karosekali suffered a number of injuries and was taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital.

Although often involved in anarchistic actions, many national political elites are in the Pemuda Pancasila organization.

The chairman of the MPR, Bambang Soesatyo, is listed as the Deputy Chairperson of the Pancasila Youth. In fact, President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma’ruf Amin are also listed as honorary members of Pemuda Pancasila.

Reported from Kompas.com, Jokowi was inaugurated as an honorary member of Pemuda Pancasila when opening the Great Pancasila Youth Conference at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, on October 26, 2019.
