By a whisker Rocío Muñoz Morales, Raoul Bova’s partner, had not been hit by a car driver intent on parking. And so the actor in anger had lashed out at the man: “I’ll kill you.”
Then, according to the accusations, he dragged the motorist, the 42-year-old Matteo Vincenzo Cartolaro, out of the car, and beat him.
Reason why Bova ended up on trial in Rome, as reported by the Messenger, before the single judge Valerio de Gioia, with accusations of private violence, threats and personal injuries.
THE FACTS – The story dates back to April 27, 2019. It is just after 1pm when Bova, who has just finished having lunch at the restaurant “I Vitelloni” together with his partner Rocío Muñoz Morales and his sister Tiziana Bova gets into the car: the three are ready to leave for L’Aquila to attend a friend’s funeral.
Companion Rocio, however, waits a few seconds before getting into the car, because there is not enough space to open the car door. And suddenly the gray Ford Fiesta driven by Cartolaro appears: the car reverses, with a risky maneuver, into the parking lot and touches the 33-year-old actress.
So the actor, according to the accusation, gets out of the car on a rampage and turns to the driver: “Now I’ll take you in and fix you, I’ll kill you.” He then punches the 42-year-old’s left arm and shoulder that will report a five-day prognosis. According to what the magistrates note in the documents: “Bova opened the door on the driver’s side and grabbed the Cartolaro by the left arm, we read in the charge – and dragged him out of the vehicle, also snatching the mobile phone he was holding, which he threw on the ground, immediately afterwards he hit the injured person on the left arm and shoulder ”.
Yesterday Bova should have presented himself in Piazzale Clodio to be heard by the Court and tell his version of the facts, but the hearing was postponed to next May. The testimony in the courtroom of his wife, the Spanish actress and presenter Rocío Muñoz Morales is also expected in the spring.
The offended person, Cartolaro, will instead have to respond in the same private violence procedure for the risky maneuver that unleashed the actor’s wrath.
