On December 4, Spīķeri Concert Hall will take place Latvian Radio Big Band and singers Beata Sweden concert “Speakers Jazz”, During which the winner of the Baltic Young Composers’ Big Band composition competition jointly organized by J. Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and Latvian Radio Big Band will be announced.
The concert will feature the new generation of Baltic composers Jievars Jasinskis (Jievaras Jasinskis, Lithuania), Raula Sēta (Raul Sööt, Estonia), as well as original works by Kārlis Vanags, the musical director of the Latvian Radio Big Band. The concert will be closed by the finalists of the Baltic Young Composers Big Band Composition Competition Jānis Rubikas (Latvia), Kristīna Bjankas Rantalas (Kristina Bianca Rantala, Estonia) and Reina Ashmanis (Latvia), which will also be remotely judged by the members of the competition jury.
The live broadcast of the concert will be available free of charge on the Facebook page of the social website of VSIA “Latvijas Koncerti”.
