Liverpool have two “finals” for their mission to finish in the top four. Burnley must be defeated first before focusing on Crystal Palace.
Thanks to a slick pace unbeaten in their last eight matches, six wins and two draws, Liverpool are wide open for chances to finish in the top four.
Liverpool are in fifth place in the standings with 63 points from 36 matches, only one point away from Chelsea in fourth place and three points from Leicester in third.
Incidentally, the difference in the three goals is only narrow, with Chelsea having +22, while Liverpool and Leicester both have +21. Therefore, the competition is very fierce.
Moreover, Leicester and Chelsea will kill each other at Stamford Bridge, Wednesday (19/5/2021) this morning WIB. Whatever the outcome, Liverpool have clearly benefited.
However, Klopp is reluctant for his players to think that because they still have a tough task to beat Burnley at Turf Moor on Thursday (20/5) early morning WIB tomorrow.
Because the match against Crystal Palace at Anfield this weekend doesn’t mean anything, if Liverpool failed to get full points this midweek.
“I don’t want to talk about (the top four),” Klopp said Independent.
