SEATTLE (AP) – Jimmy Graham caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Nick Foles with 1:01 left to play, Damiere Byrd delivered an acrobatic reception for a two-point conversion and the Chicago Bears outscored a 25-24 Sunday. the Seattle Seahawks.
In his first game as a starter since last season, Foles led the Bears 80 yards in the final minutes and capped the march with his touchdown delivery to Graham, who spent three seasons with the Seahawks. Graham out-cut two defensive backs at the rear of the end zone for his third touchdown of the season.
On the two-point conversion attempt, Foles threw the ball late, but Byrd managed to get his knee into the end zone as several Seattle players tried to push him out of the end zone.
It was a shocking ending to an unusual snowy game in Seattle and the Seahawks (5-10) were eliminated. Seattle had already claimed to finish the season with a losing record and coach Pete Carroll had at least 10 losses in a season for the first time with the team.
Foles completed 24 of 35 passes for 250 yards and David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert scored on the ground. Montgomery gained 45 yards on 21 carries and 61 more on seven receptions. The Bears (5-10) were coming off three straight losses and seven in their last eight games.
Russell Wilson completed 16 of 27 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns, including DK Metcalf’s first touchdown since Oct. 31.
