Bearded vulture “Wally” and “Bavaria” in the national park for a week

The beginning of this community of convenience was not easy. “Wally” and “Bavaria” first had to pull themselves together, with the smaller Bavaria nagging at her roommate. But now calm has returned to the new home of the female Bearded Vulture.

Meat bones for the bearded vulture every other day

The national park rangers bring food supplies in the form of meat bones every other day, which are gladly taken. The two young birds are under observation around the clock and it was found that “Wally” has gained strength: she now beats 17 wings at a time. But with take-off and a flight round in the national park, it should still take a few weeks.
