A week after a hunter found bear tracks in the snow in Salzburg’s Glemm Valley, two hikers spotted a bear near Bad Fusch (Pinzgau) at around 1,700 meters above sea level yesterday, Sunday. The two were able to observe the animal well from a distance of 80 to 100 meters and, according to information from the state of Salzburg, reported their observation to the police.
Experts do not rule out that the animal is the bear whose tracks were discovered a week ago. A bear is said to have appeared in Salzburg in 2014, but there were doubts at the time.
