‘Bear kills woman while walking dogs’ | Abroad

An autopsy has yet to reveal exactly how the woman died. She was walking her dogs. Her boyfriend found her outside after he got worried and went looking for her. It was already too late then. The couple’s dogs had walked back home themselves.

Police search dogs managed to find the bear. The beast and her two cubs were then shot. “Our policy is to shoot the bears after an attack on humans. Our first job is always to keep human health and safety in mind, ”a spokesperson told The Durango Herald. “This is a sad reminder that bears can be wild and life-threatening.”

The police cooperate with nature conservationists in the investigation into the circumstances. The woman’s body had been partially eaten. At the scene of the accident, tufts of bear fur and excrement were also found. Colorado has more bears, but they rarely attack humans.
