“Sorry sir, ma’am, there are no fewer than 8,500 people waiting for you.” Anyone who went to Knokke-Heist in recent weeks to inquire about their own mini-shack on the beach was disappointed. The municipality will no longer allocate beach cabins in the coming years, due to too great a success. A consequence of the corona crisis, it turns out.
