The first day of the year will be relatively calm all over Troms, with little wind and only a few scattered snow showers. Sunday, however, will be characterized by storms.
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a danger warning for strong gusts of wind from 09.00 on Sunday morning. There is a risk of difficult driving conditions due to gusts of wind up to 35 meters per second from the southeast.

On Saturday morning, Vervarslinga in northern Norway states that they are now considering upgrading the danger warning for Sunday. We are working in the morning with new forecasts.
The expected storm is due to a low pressure in the Norwegian Sea moving east.
The weather is expected to affect both road and ferry traffic.
