Inspired by Raimonds Pauls on the record in the eighties An invitation to dance The musical program of the show has been created by musicologist Juris Vaivods in close cooperation with Maestro: “In the New Year ‘s show, we will invite the audience to dance in the rhythms of the New Year!”
Favorite melodies in the rhythms of waltz, rock and roll, cha-cha-cha, tango and other dances are expected. On stage – Maestro Raimonds Pauls himself and Latvian pop stars: Latvian Radio Big Bands, soloists – Intars Busulis, Kristīne Prauliņa, Normunds Rutulis, Ieva Kerēvica, Žoržs Siksna, Aija Vītoliņa, Veronika Plotņikova, Dināra Rudāne, Daumants Kalniņš, others Ance Krau Dance dance schools Mill dancers.
Maestro will not only take care of the rhythms, but will also notice everyone to challenge. He once said that “Latvians with humor are as it is – it all started and ended with Blauman”. Is that really the case? This challenge of Raimonds Pauls will be accepted by the hosts of the show Sanda Dejus and Lauris Subatnieks, who will try to find out the answer to the question – what is happening in Latvia with humor?
Doctor Anatolijs Danilāns, volleyball player Tīna Graudiņa, actors Jānis Jarāns and Dainis Porgants, LTV Weather News Manager, meteorologist Toms Bricis will join the talks about the joke, while stories about humorous adventures will be shared by Maestro , conductor Maris Sirmais and other well – loved and respected guests.
New Year’s show director Intars Rešetins: “Dear Latvian Television viewers, be in the positive mood! There will be a lot of different visually glorious surprises and we, the creative team, will try to add a lot of humor!”
