Jakarta –
Since the end of 2021 until now, the community has been bombarded with several price increases. Starting from cooking oil, tofu, tempeh, meat to the newest non-subsidized LPG.
Of course, from the series of rising prices for kitchen items, the ones who feel the most burden are housewives.
Starting with cooking oil, which has occurred since November 2021. Branded packaged cooking oil has increased to around Rp. 24 thousand per kg.
This cooking oil problem continues to roll. There was even a shortage of packaged cooking oil at minimarket outlets. Purchases are even limited.
To overcome this problem, the government even wants to stop the export of CPO. To the extent that a policy of 1 price was issued for cooking oil.
The cooking oil polemic has not yet finished, the mothers are faced with the problem of tofu and tempeh. This problem occurred in the raw material sector, namely soybeans, which turned out to be high.
The culprit is the increase in the price of imported soybeans. According to data from the Association of Tofu Tempe Producers Cooperatives (Gakoptindo) 90% of domestic soybean needs are met from imports.
As a result, tofu and tempeh producers protested, they went on a production strike on 21-23 February 2022. After the strike, tempe producers decided to increase the selling price.
