Now Gaming is a corner every Sunday where each writer loosely writes about the games they played that week. It’s the 371st time. It looks like it’s going to be a little cold again next week.

Coming soon for console version

A major update “Dark Mirror” has been delivered to the PC version of “Skul: The Hero Slayer”. As I wrote last week, the main feature is a high difficulty mode in a parallel world that can be accessed from the Mirror of Darkness added to the Demon King’s Castle. Including new characters, enemies are powerful anyway. It’s tough, and it’s a nasty attack. On the other hand, a new system has also been introduced that allows you to consume resources to strengthen your character. Story content is also included, and it seems that the developer treats it like an expansion pack.

In the normal mode, the layout of the stages and the placement of the enemies were considerably modified. It’s rare to change something like this after the official release, but personally, I’m glad that the rut has been resolved. Also, you can choose from 3 item rewards, and you can get additional rewards from the mid-boss adventurer. In addition, a wide range of balance adjustments have been made, and it seems that it is generally in the direction of making it easier to play while slightly lowering the difficulty.

This tasted dystopia

This week, I was playing Atrio: The Dark Wild, which was officially released on January 11th. If you roughly summarize this work as a genre, it is a work of taste like “open world craft automation survival adventure”. Players become androids called “employees” and advance to the ground where darkness is rampant. Without knowing the circumstances, you will be tasked with restoring the power grid and regaining the ground.

What I imagined before playing this work was that it was a combination of works such as “Factorio” and “Don’t Starve”. In fact, there are many elements in common with such works. However, when I played “Atrio: The Dark Wild”, I was strongly struck by the “similarity!”

This is because the story of this work hits dark humor against the background of dystopia from the beginning. The “employees” are disposable, and die more and more lightly. Players are constantly supplied with spare employees. The gameplay is different for each game, but the laughter while being brutal is just like the “Portal” series. It was a happy miscalculation for the writer who loves that glue. In addition, although this work is still incomplete, the Japanese translation is also in progress. Please check it once.

very good looking men

I’m playing Sailing Ella on Steam. This game is surprisingly better than I expected. Collect sailors to trade, go on adventures, and engage in naval battles. It is a voyage RPG that can do anything. As the name “Sailing Era” suggests, it’s quite frankly a “Great Voyage” game. It feels like the “Great Voyage Age” born in China. However, since it is sold by major Chinese bilibili, the budget is solid and the work is good. The visuals are composed of beautiful CG paintings that are quite modern, and there are 3D expressions everywhere. In addition, the UI and tempo are well thought out, and the ease of play is guaranteed. Since there are many small goals, the loop of the achievement cycle is relatively short, and it takes a lot of time.

I’m a fan of the “Great Voyage” series, but to be honest, it’s been a long time since I played 4, so I can’t make a detailed comparison. However, “Sailing Ella” has a lot of “throbbing to open up the world”, and in that sense, I can taste the nostalgic feeling of “that time”. There are many unknown things, and anyway, exploration and discovery are fun. Also, the characters are carefully crafted inside and out, so it’s good to have fun adventuring with the characters. I like the faces of the men. I was surprised at how easy it was to play and how deep it was, including the fact that the tutorial was solid. It will also come out on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in the summer, so it might be worth waiting for that.
