Next year there will be more money from the canton of Bern than before for the ski world cup races in the Bernese Oberland. This was announced by the Bern Economic Directorate. The races in Adelboden are supported with 170,000 francs, 70,000 francs more than in 2020. The Lauberhorn races receive 200,000 francs, four times more than at the beginning of this year. The budgets of Adelboden and Wengen are smaller in 2021 than in the previous year because of the corona pandemic. It became apparent that the contributions to the traditional races will be higher in the future, regardless of Corona. Because the events in the Bernese Oberland have been struggling with financial problems for a long time.
