Will you take the car this morning? Then be careful. This morning, locally dense fog occurs in the north and center of the Netherlands. The KNMI has issued code yellow for South Holland, North Holland, Friesland, Drenthe, Groningen, Overijssel, Gelderland, Utrecht and Flevoland.
The KNMI warns of dangerous driving conditions due to poor visibility and advises road users to adapt their speed and to keep sufficient distance. Fog can be treacherous because it can suddenly appear.

Turning on your fog light also helps, but that is not always allowed. The ANWB: “This is only allowed in very dense fog, in other words with less than 50 meters of visibility, the rear fog light (pass) may be switched on. At the front you may switch on fog lights if visibility is less than 200 meters.”

The fog will dissolve in the first part of the morning.
