News Ciamis, (harapanrakyat.com), – The cliffs of the district road around the Poronggol bridge in Kawali Village/Sub-district, District nice, West Java, collapsed.
Worried that the collapse of the cliff will widen, residents also hope that the government will immediately build a Land Retaining Wall (TPT).
“Besides that, we are also worried that it will be the cause of the accident,” said Ade, a local resident to HR Online, Saturday (12/18/2021).
Ade further added that the collapse of the roadside had occurred three days ago. “The trigger is the high intensity of rain,” he added.
According to Ade, when it rains heavily, water from the drainage in front of the Kawali Muhammadiyah Middle School overflows into the road. In addition, because the contours of the land around the cliff are unstable.
“The number of leaks in irrigation canals in the vicinity has also caused the contours of the cliffs to become unstable,” said Ade.
As a result of the continuous landslide, the road pavement narrows and soil material enters the part of one of the residents’ pools.
According to him, if it is not immediately repaired or TPT is made, then it is possible that this could be the cause of the accident.
“Because the collapsed road cliff has almost eaten up the road,” he said.
Meanwhile, to anticipate the unexpected, around the landslide location only use barriers with plastic and bamboo ropes.
Ade said that the local village government had reviewed the location of the cliff landslide.
“Hopefully, before an accident occurs and the damage gets wider and worse, the relevant agencies can quickly build the TPT,” he concluded. (Edji/R5/HR-Online/Editor-Adi)
