BDx Indonesia Acquires Data Center Portfolio Worth IDR 2.65 Trillion in Jakarta and Other Major Cities

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison announced BDx Indonesia, a joint venture of Indosat, BDx Data Center, and Lintasarta, has agreed to acquire the portfolio data center his property is worth IDR 2.65 trillion.

This new portfolio will add to the connected ecosystem that is being built by BDx Indonesia. The ecosystem along the BDx Indonesia data center network will be connected to several cloud providers, Content Delivery Networks, and digital financial companies via Internet Exchange/IX, cloud channels, and private interconnects involving several telecommunications providers in providing digital access. throughout Indonesia.

This will also accelerate digital transformation and significantly improve the digital experience of businesses, technology companies and internet users.

BDx Indonesia has expanded and upgraded four data centers in Jakarta and West Java that will be relocated in 2022, with one location ready to accommodate high-density artificial intelligence workloads.

Meanwhile, with this transaction, BDx Indonesia has a total IT capacity of more than 150 MW+ in Indonesia through ten collocation facility transactions, including new facilities being built in areas around Jakarta amounting to 15 MW.

The facility is estimated to be ready to operate in the fourth quarter of 2024. In addition, BDx Indonesia will also have a 100 MW hyperscale campus in Suryabuat, East Jakarta, and carrier-neutral edge sites on all major islands in Indonesia which are built according to environmentally friendly design specifications and accelerate digitalization.
