“BDO Legal strengthens legal technology expertise with new partner hire”

BDO Legal continues to expand and strengthens itself with an experienced legal technology expert. Christian Wattenberg, most recently Head of Legal Technology at EY Law, joined BDO Legal in Düsseldorf as a partner on May 1 and will set up a new team in the Legal Technology department there.

Christian Wattenberg is known in the market as an expert for issues relating to the digitization and automation of work processes as well as the operational control of mass processes and structured large-scale projects. In addition to his tech expertise, he has more than ten years of experience as a lawyer in various law firms, most recently at EY Law.

Not only are we continuously expanding existing teams and covered areas of law, we are also clearly positioning ourselves for the future with the new Legal Technology division.”

In addition to building a suitable team, Christian Wattenberg will focus primarily on the establishment of processes and technologies related to mass processes and structured large-scale projects, as well as topics related to the development and implementation of technology and AI applications.
