The home arena of the French basketball team BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque went up in flames on Christmas Day.

France’s sports minister, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, thanks the fire brigade who spent several hours on Monday evening to extinguish the fire.
– Fortunately, the damage did not lead to any injuries. Thanks to the fire brigade for their quick and effective efforts, writes Oudéa-Castéra in a post on Twitter/X.
According to Le Parisien, BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque’s upcoming match against Paris Basketball, which is scheduled to be played on Thursday, has been postponed.
BCM is in 17th place in the French league, just one place above jumbo place.
