Cianjur, West Java – The stock of the BCG vaccine (Bacillus Calmette–Guérin) is a vaccine to prevent TB or tuberculosis and the Polio vaccine for infants in Cianjur Regency, West Java, has been empty for the past three months. Vaccine vacancies were due to delays from the center. But people are asked not to panic.
This was stated by the Head of Disease Prevention and Control at the Cianjur Health Service, Yusman Faisal. According to him, the vacancy of the two types of vaccines has occurred since the last three months.
“Yes, the BCG and Polio vaccines have been empty since three months ago,” said Yusman, Thursday (7/10).
Yusman explained that the availability of vaccines should be fulfilled from the beginning of the year, because the vaccine is a program that always exists every year.
“It’s a vaccine program, there should have been early in the year. Even the previous year it was already illustrated,” he said.
