The first team from BC Pfaffenhofen/Scheyern is hoping for two wins in their home games this Sunday in the Badminton District League North/West. The team welcomes seventh-placed 1. BC Munich III (12 p.m.) and bottom team ESV Munich (4 p.m.) in the Niederscheyerer Halle. The second team only plays one game on Sunday in the B-North district class. This will take place at 12 p.m. against DJK Eichstätt.
BC Pfaffenhofen’s season so far has been characterized by ups and downs. At the start in Neuaubing, the Pfaffenhofen team drew 4:4 against Kirchheimer SC, but then had to admit defeat to host ESV Munich-Neuaubing 2:6. Things went better on the second matchday when the team achieved their first win of the season (5:3) at SV Lohhof III. There was also a draw against TSV Erding (4:4), so the BCP is currently in sixth place in the table (out of nine) with 4:4 points.
A positive thing for the Pfaffenhofen team ahead of their home game day is that they can again rely on regular player Julian Schulte, who missed the first two match days due to injury. The Pfaffenhofen team has set “play at the top” as their goal for the season, as BCP spokeswoman Julia Bauer reveals. “Of course we would like to be promoted, but the league is very strong and it will be difficult,” says Bauer. In order to preserve the chance, two wins on the home game day are mandatory. “We hope for a lot of support from the fans, everyone is welcome,” says BCP captain Jan Speer. Entry is free.
