BBVA has launched a health insurance policy aimed at people between 76 and 85 years of age, to whom it offers out-of-hospital coverage with access to the Sanitas medical chart and specific services for prevention, advice, sociability, as well as qualified home care, as reported the bank.
Specifically, it offers outpatient healthcare with more than 50,000 professionals from the Sanitas medical team and gives access to more than 4,200 private medical centres, as well as consultations with specialists and certain specific support or qualified help services needed in their day-to-day activities .
The insured will be able to go one day a week to residences and day centers of Sanitas, where they will have the possibility of receiving a counseling service so that they have a detailed knowledge of their state of health, as well as the most appropriate help. In addition, the specific coverage also offers the possibility of a care service, with rehabilitation sessions, gymnastics or preventive physiotherapy.
The sociability service allows them to participate continuously in activities that foster their interpersonal relationships, always under the supervision of qualified professionals. The insured will also have the possibility of obtaining discounts on the monthly payment that they must pay during their stay in the residence or in the day center. Likewise, the insurance will offer them qualified personal assistance, accompaniment to medical appointments or physiotherapy at home, among other services in the event of an unforeseen situation.
On the other hand, the insurance allows video consultations with specialists and 24-hour emergencies, to which is added the possibility of obtaining digital prescriptions for tests and medications. The insured can also request that a health professional come to their home to carry out an analysis or send medicines to their home.
BBVA points out that, after the pandemic, health care for the elderly “has become even more of a priority.” “To put the best specialists within their reach and facilitate their access to better health management, BBVA has launched BBVA Salud Senior in Spain,” explained the bank.
The insurance can be contracted at a single price of 47.50 euros per month and a copay from the seventh annual service. Customers can also include insurance in BBVA Plan EstarSeguro, a solution with which they can obtain discounts of up to 15%, as well as pay their home, auto, health, life or work disability insurance for the self-employed month by month.
