JAKARTA, JAMBIEKSPRES.CO.ID- Fuel prices in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) have fallen since early January 2023.

Pertamina Persero, for example, lowered fuel prices in early 2023, to be precise on January 3, 2023 at around 14.00 WIB.

Different from usual, Pertamina immediately lowered 4 types of fuel.

The 4 types of fuel that experienced a decrease were Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Dextile and Pertamina Dex.

The price of Dextile fuel, for example, has fallen to IDR 2,150 per liter. The latest price is IDR 16,150 per liter, while the previous price was IDR 18,300 per liter.

Pertamax Dex also fell by around IDR 2,050 per liter to IDR 16,750 per liter from the previous IDR 18,800 per liter.

The price of Pertamax fuel is IDR 12,800 per liter from the previous price of IDR 13,900 per liter or a decrease of around IDR 1,100 per liter.

The latest price for Pertamax Turbo is IDR 14,050 per liter. From the previous IDR 15,200 per liter.

According to BUMN Minister Erick Tohir, the reduction in non-subsidized fuel prices took effect today at 14.00 WIB.

“The decision to reduce the price of Pertamax fuel is because many use this type of fuel and it is hoped that this reduction will increase the consumption of non-subsidized fuel,” explained Erick.

In addition, Erick also explained that the decline in Pertamina’s fuel price was also inseparable from the decline in world oil prices, so the government also lowered the selling price of non-subsidized fuel.

While the Main Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati confirmed that the new price of Pertamina Pertamax fuel would take effect at 14.00 local time

“It will take effect at 2 pm. The price of Pertamax will be from IDR 13,900 to IDR 12,800 per liter,” Nicke said.

Meanwhile, before Pertamina’s fuel prices fell, private fuel managers Vivo and British Petroleum (BP) lowered their fuel prices first.
