There has been a stir in Britain after it appears that a well-known British BBC presenter has died as a result of blood clots that formed after her vaccination against the corona virus.

Lisa Shaw (44) passed away 3 months ago, just days after an initial inoculation with the AstraZeneca vaccine. The results of the autopsy – which have just become known – now indicate that the woman died from the effects of the formation of blood clots. Experts stressed on Friday that it is extremely rare for people to develop blood clots as a result of their vaccination.
They point to a large-scale study, just published in the British Medical Journal. The data of 29 million people who received their first dose of Pfizer-BioNtech or Oxford-AstraZeneca at the beginning of this year were compared with that of 2 million people who tested positive for the corona virus. It found that the risk of developing venous thrombosis (phlebitis) was almost 200 times higher from getting Covid-19 than from being vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine. The outcome of the study is important, as the fear of blood clots made many people hesitate to get vaccinated.
