BBC Bayreuth wants to take down Dresden Titans

The 8th matchday of the ProA is coming up. A challenging task awaits the BBC Bayreuth basketball players. On Saturday (November 18th) the team will be visiting the Dresden Titans at 6 p.m. Head coach Mladen Drijencic describes the Saxons as a “top team” from which they want to demand everything.

In order to be prepared for the task at the Dresden Titans, the BBC team focused training on defense in 1-on-1 situations and behavior when rebounding. Drijencic also announces an increase in variability in the forward game: “We want to make decisions even faster offensively and move the ball better. A better choice of throws than last time against Münster should lead to a higher hit rate.” Tactical expert Drijencic doesn’t want to take a closer look at the cards. “It will essentially be a matter of adding 40 minutes of consistent time to our schedule.”

As fifth last year, participants in the playoffs and BBL Cup, the Dresden Titans can look back on the most successful season in their history. “Dresden is certainly a top team and has enough quality to beat any opponent in the league,” warns Drijencic. He identified the collective as a particular strength of the Saxons: “The team plays good team basketball and averages 22.6 assists per game. That’s why it’s hard to focus on a single player.”

The BBC will still have to do without the injured Philip Jalalpoor and Mo Sillah. The Dresden Titans game takes place in the Margon Arena in the east of the Saxony metropolis. Sportdeutschland.tv will broadcast the game on Live-Stream.
