The BBC acknowledges that it did not respond properly to a complaint about presenter Huw Edwards. The British public broadcaster apologizes for not taking action quickly enough.

On May 18 last year, a complaint was filed against Edwards, according to an independent investigation by consultancy firm Deloitte. The complaint did not reach BBC management until July 6.

The report states that the complaint was not recorded correctly. There was also no “documented process” in which developments after the complaint could be tracked. Furthermore, the complainants were not referred to the correct service. The BBC says it has now adjusted the processes where things went wrong.

Reported in July last year The Sun that a complaint had been made against “a BBC presenter”. That complaint came from the parents of a minor. They had discovered that the BBC celebrity had paid money for explicit photos of their child.

The wife of 61-year-old Edwards revealed after days of speculation that it was her husband. Edwards was hospitalized at the time with mental health issues. It is not known how the presenter is doing now.
