Throughout the day, the audience will be delighted by one of the leading Latvian funky breaks and funk DJs DJ All-Viss, who has been actively involved in DJing since 2009 and has created a DJ association “Funky Breakout” with colleagues. In their sets, All-Everything plays music that includes elements of hip-hop, funk, jazz, reggae, disco and Latin American music. All-Everything has performed with such internationally renowned colleagues as DJ Angelo, A Skillz, Featurecast, Krafty Kuts, Pimpsoul, Flip, 69Beats, Dj Mamania and others.
At the end of the day, with a energetic concert program, the charismatic jazz singer with a velvety voice – KATRĪNA KABIŅECKA – will perform in the mood of the bank’s music. Katrīna is currently studying jazz singing at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, but she already has a rich musical experience – she performs and participates in various musical projects together with professionals recognized in Latvia and Europe. “BB Summer Jam” Katrīna’s accompanying group will feature young jazz talents – bassist Toms Kursītis, pianist Klāvs Ābols, percussionist Dāvids Eglītis, as well as one of Latvia’s brightest new generation jazz trumpet players, also Kristians Kalva, a student at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
This evening will be a unique opportunity to enjoy the work of the legendary Baldone group TUMORS. Toms Grēviņš says that TUMORS is an avant-garde in rock music. Uldis Rudaks, on the other hand, believes that TUMORS only plays punk rock. In any case, some case groups have not changed in their 15 years of existence, and those who did not want to be young now do not want to be old, but are thirsty for a dose of punk and tearing at a time when responsibility for almost everything is in vogue. “This time we will do without a demolished bar or turning water into wine. We promise only by chance – just like at the beginning of the pandemic, we were the first in Latvia to organize a live-stream concert or participate in the “Give Five” marathon, so this time we will perform without a clearly defined genre, but definitely from the heart, liver (while they are still) and really, ”Promises witty TUMORS guys.
Hip-hop lovers will also have a holiday. BB Summer Jam will be visited by local hip-hop artist PACKMAN, who has gained more recognition in the “371 Battle” series. He is also one of the representatives of the Chista-Gun association formed in 2020. “Soho Record Lable” together with DJ SUBPHOBIA has made PACKMAN’s debut album “Corner Businessmen”. Compositions such as “Purvājs”, “Sip & Kūp”, “Miglājs” and others have attracted the attention of many listeners.
The musical program of “BB Summer Jam” will end with a performance by DJ NINA ELEKTRICHKA. Nina’s musical creativity is a fusion of different genres of electronic dance music, combining experiments with flow, raw rhythms and sound landscape mutations, mixing from eclectic electronics to exotic electro, juicy breaks, noisy techno and saturated EBM. Nina often uses modular synthesizers and audio-visual installations in her concerts.
We remind you that “BB Summer Jam” has been taking place every season in Liepaja since 2014, and not only fans of this sport, but also other lovers of active recreation and the audience who just want to enjoy the great atmosphere of a summer party come to enjoy it. This year, the event will be made more impressive by the parallel skateboard competition in the mini-ramp, as well as the Boards.lv surf cup, which will take place the next day on the beach of Karosta North Pier with a good wave forecast.
Wakeboard participants will show their skills in several groups, the most impressive of which will be the performance of a group of professionals and the “Best Trick” discipline, where wakeboarders will show their most reckless tricks, which are mostly not included in normal start races. The competition, accompanied by good music, more or less actively relaxing, will be able to watch all day long, but the culmination of the most powerful rides is expected from 4 p.m.
