/ world today news/ This became clear from the interview with Tsvetan Vasilev, former owner of KTB given to BIT TV.
According to him, the biggest corruption scandal in the EU took place in Bulgaria in the last 20 years, since the time of Helmut Kohl and the black boxes for party donations. However, this time it is not even about corruption in the party aspect, but about purely personal interests. Key figures in the organized criminal group associated with this scandal are Vassilev himself and personally the Prime Minister of the country until recently – Boyko Borisov. The situation with “Dunarit” and “Avionams” is the worst, because these are companies directly related to national security. After Vassilev confirmed last night unequivocally and with evidence that Borisov through his representative Staliyski owned 50% of the two companies, the entire carefully constructed legend of “protection of the national interest” that the resigned prime minister was building collapsed. It turned out that Borisov had bought “Avionams” from himself with state money with complex transfers of ownership and shareholdings, and at the same time placed an intermediary between the Bulgarian company and the repair subcontractor company in order to personally steal the commission of about 30 million . dollars. The same story unfolded in front of everyone’s eyes in “Dunarit”, masked with fraudulent PR – protection of national interests, while behind the scenes the owner Borisov negotiates the best price for his personal offshore accounts.
In this context, Vassilev’s claims that Botomil Manchev, the owner of “Risk Engineering”, accounted for 50% of the sums he received, are logical. Apparently 50% is the exact rate of the organized crime group personally led by the Prime Minister.
The scandal with Levski, the scandal with Vivacom, with Bulgartabac, the scandal with the demolition of KTB itself – all this is part of this long-term strategy for mastering key economic positions by Borisov and his associates. Practically, political power after such a wholesale seizure of the entire economy becomes relative. Whoever is the prime minister of a country where the main oligarch is Boyko Borisov, the power will be in the hands of the one who holds the economic levers. This is only on the condition that the Prosecutor’s Office remains silent.
