Bayu Krisnamurthi Replaces Budi Waseso to Lead BULOG

NATIONAL INFO – BUMN Minister Erick Thohir officially appointed Bayu Krisnamurthi, who previously served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perum BULOG, to become Main Director of Perum BULOG, replacing Budi Waseso through the Decree of the Minister of BUMN number SK-341/MBU/12/2023 dated 1 December 2023 concerning Dismissal and Appointment of Members -member of the Board of Directors of Perum BULOG.

In the decree, Erick Thohir also added 1 director to Perum BULOG, namely the Director of Transformation and Institutional Relations, so that the composition of Perum BULOG’s board of directors became 6 directors from the previous 5 directors.

Meanwhile, through the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) held by Semen Indonesia Group (SIG) on Friday, December 1 2023, it was officially decided that Budi Waseso, who previously served as President Director of Perum BULOG, has been appointed as President Commissioner of SIG.

Budi Waseso said that as a civil servant he accepted all policies from the government and he was grateful to have led Bulog for more than 5 years.

“And I believe that Bulog’s replacement will be better and will continue the transformation that is already underway,” said Budi Waseso after handing over the position via Zoom at 19.00 WIB which was short and attended by the old directors and new directors of BULOG.

Bayu Krisnamurthi said that the mandate and trust of the state must be maintained properly, especially considering BULOG’s position in maintaining food sovereignty.

“At the same time continuing Budi Waseso’s leadership, which in my opinion has been good in overseeing the progress of BULOG’s transformation to date,” said Bayu.

Bayu also praised Buwas’ leadership for being able to bring BULOG through difficult times and being able to keep the BULOG institution strong and able to carry out every mission assigned by the state well.

After Bayu’s resignation as the new President Director, BULOG held a short limited meeting with the old and new directors to discuss the next steps to determine future strategies to face Nataru and other policies facing global complexity and uncertainty.

Simultaneously with the replacement of the composition of Perum BULOG’s board of directors, BUMN Minister Erick Thohir also appointed Arief Prasetyo Adi as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perum BULOG replacing Bayu Krisnamurthi.
