The speaker of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained that the air defense of the Russians, installed on the line of contact, will be able to shoot down Turkish drones.
During an interview with Ukrainian journalists, Yuriy Ignat, speaker of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told why the Armed Forces of Ukraine began to use Turkish-made Bayraktar strike drones more carefully.
During a conversation with the hosts of the telethon, Yuri Ignat was asked if Bayraktar UAVs are used at the front by the country’s defenders. According to Ignat, these drones are used, but not at the forefront of the front, because the Ukrainian command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has concluded that the enemy has installed serious air defense systems in the occupied territories along the line of conflict.
“The enemy has air defense, and it is destroyed by various means of the defense forces, but it exists, of various types. There is such a thing as those that are on high-rise buildings in Moscow -” Shell S-1 “, and so they are effective against UAVs of various types” , the speaker noted.
Ignat added that “Bayraktars” played a major role in the battles for Serpent’s Island, the sinking of the cruiser “Moskva”. According to Yuri, “Bayraktar” was used not to attack the cruiser, but “for other purposes.” Turkish drones worked on columns of equipment of the Russian Armed Forces, which were hundreds of across the territory of Ukraine.

At the moment, having information about the enemy’s air defense systems, the Command does not consider it appropriate to use Bayraktar drones where they can be shot down by the Russians.
