Meppen –
Eight games, eight wins: the soccer players of FC Bayern Munich remain in the women’s Bundesliga without losing points.
Head coach Jens Scheuer’s team won 3-0 (3-0) at bottom of the table SV Meppen. Marina Hegering put last year’s runner-up in the lead in the 3rd minute, Klara Bühl (31st) and Lineth Beerensteyn (40th) made the win perfect before the break.
With 24 points, the Munich women remain the front runners, two points ahead of the double winner VfL Wolfsburg. The champions and cup winners won the top duel at Turbine Potsdam on Friday 5-0 (3-0) and at least temporarily pushed past Bayern.
Eintracht Frankfurt had no problems in the 3-0 (1-0) at MSV Duisburg and remains fourth. Cup finalist SGS Essen also won a 3-1 (3-0) victory at SC Sand. TSG Hoffenheim beat Bayer Leverkusen 5: 2 (0: 0) thanks to a strong second half, while SC Freiburg won their home game against Werder Bremen 2: 1 (2: 1).
