Bayern’s Home Record Makes Villarreal’s Positive Capital Feel Thin!

Jakarta

Villarreal have positive capital towards the visit to Bayern Munich. But the capital feels thin if you look at the opponent’s home record.

Villarreal will travel to the Allianz Arena on Wednesday (13/4/2022) early morning WIB in the second leg of the quarter-finals Champions League. The Yellow Submarine has a one-goal advantage from the first leg.

The squad Unai Emery must maintain these advantages and try to get as much profit as possible. Bayern is expected to push them and not give the opportunity to develop the game.

But on the other hand, Villarreal realize there is a tough task waiting at Bayern’s headquarters. The hosts have an impressive record at home, especially in the Champions League this season.

They swept all four home games and scored a total of 20 goals while conceding only three. Benfica found the net twice last November and Salzburg did so once.

That means, Bayern have averaged four goals per home game in the Champions League this season and have only conceded 0.75 times.

“We have to show Bayern enormous respect. It will be very difficult and we have to know how to respond,” said Villarreal coach Unai Emery on UEFA’s official website.

“We know they are used to scoring a lot of goals at home and that’s normal for them. They have respect for us too, but they know if they are playing at a very good level, they are the favourites.”

“They will feel strong and optimistic at home.”
