Bayern women win confidently – VfL mastered the away hurdle

The soccer women of FC Bayern Munich defended their lead on the 2nd Bundesliga matchday.

After the 6: 0 against SC Sand at the start of the season, the Munich women came to an equally clear 4: 0 (2: 0) at promoted Werder Bremen. The defending champion VfL Wolfsburg, who were troubled by personnel, won 4-1 (3-1) at TSG Hoffenheim.

It took the Bayern women 38 minutes to overcome Bremen’s defensive bulwark for the first time. After Viviane Asseyi’s goal, the game was quickly decided, as Linda Dallmann made it 2-0 two minutes later. The other hits went to the accounts of Amanda Ilestedt (53rd) and Sydney Lohmann (63rd).

A three-pack by Zsanett Jakabfi was decisive for the second victory of the Champions League finalist from Wolfsburg. The Hungarian scored in the 13th, 43rd and 52nd minutes. Alexandra Popp netted 3-1 in the second minute of stoppage time in the first half. Goals by Laura Feiersinger (15th / foul penalty), Verena Aschauer (42nd) and Laura Freilang (74th) in a goal from Nicole Anyomi (8th) ensured the 3-1 (2-1) victory for Eintracht Frankfurt at SGS Essen. Bayer Leverkusen are also still without a loss point after the 2-0 on Friday evening against MSV Duisburg.

Remarkable: SV Meppen remains undefeated. The 2: 2 against 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam was the second draw of the promoted team.
