Bayern will pay a billion crowns for the defender of Upamecan from Leipzig

Bayern Munich will be strengthened in the summer by the French representative Dayot Upamecano from Leipzig. According to the Kicker server, the recent winner of the World Club Championship will pay 43 million euros (1.1 billion crowns) for the 22-year-old defender, which is the amount of the exit clause in the player’s contract with Leipzig valid until 2023.

“We talked about it for months. We knew we had strong competition. Upamecano is a young player who can do a lot at the age of 22,” said Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.

Upamecano will be the seventh French footballer in the cadre of the Champions League winner, whose jersey will be worn by Corentin Tolisso, Benjamin Pavard, Kingsley Coman, Lucas Hernández, Tanguy Kouassi and Bouna Sarr.
