Berlin (dpa) – FC Bayern surprisingly stumbled against their favorite opponent Werder Bremen. Munich had to be content with a 1: 1 (0: 1) on the eighth day of the Bundesliga match, leaving points for the first time after 19 wins in a row against Werder.
The Munich blunder took advantage of rival Borussia Dortmund and shortened the gap in the debut of Youssoufa Moukoko as the youngest professional at 16 years and one day by a 5: 2 (0: 1) at Hertha BSC thanks to the famous four-pack shooter Erling Haaland to one point . The previous second RB Leipzig, however, did not get beyond a 1: 1 (0: 1) at Eintracht Frankfurt and is only fourth. Bayer Leverkusen also overtook Arminia Bielefeld with a 2-1 (1-0) win.
Meanwhile, the crisis at FC Schalke 04 is never ending. In the 0: 2 (0: 2) against VfL Wolfsburg, the Royal Blues remained without a win in the 24th league game in a row and are still on a relegation zone. The negative record of Tasmania Berlin in 1965/66 with 31 games without a win is gradually shaking.
Borussia Mönchengladbach gave away a victory in the final minutes of the 1-1 (1-0) against FC Augsburg. TSG Hoffenheim, plagued by corona, scored 3: 3 (1: 2) against VfB Stuttgart despite the failure of seven players who tested positive.
Since the 0-0 draw on September 11, 2010, Werder lost nine times with a total of 43 goals conceded in the Munich arena. This time Werder withstood the Bayern pressure. Maximilian Eggestein even brought the Hanseatic League into the lead shortly before the break (45th). Kingsley Coman only managed to equalize (62nd).
BVB also had a hard time half-time in Berlin and was even 0: 1 behind due to Matheus Cunha, before the Norwegian Erling Haaland showed off big. The young star turned the game around with a hat trick within 16 minutes (47th, 49th and 62nd) before Raphael Guerreiro increased (70th). Immediately after the 2: 4 by Cunha (79th) with a penalty, Haaland struck again (62nd). It became historic when Haaland was substituted in the 85th minute and Moukoko came onto the field.
For Leipzig, the trip to Frankfurt ended with a little disappointment again. In the sixth competitive game in the Main metropolis there was again no victory (three defeats, three draws). After all, Yussuf Poulsen RB secured one point (57th) after Aymen Barkok (43rd) brought Eintracht into the lead.
Bayer goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky scored an own goal in Bielefeld for all of the annual reviews. After a back pass from Daley Sinkgraven, the Finn hit under the ball and gave the promoted team the equalizer (47th). Leon Bailey had previously brought Leverkusen, where the Bender twins Lars and Sven were injured, in the lead (27th). Shortly before the end, Aleksandar Dragovic gave Bayer the win (88th).
After two draws and progressing in the DFB Cup, Schalke suffered another setback. Wout Weghorst (3rd) and Xaver Schlager (24th) ensured clear conditions early on. The Wolfsburg remain unbeaten in the league. Schalke has been waiting for a win since January 17th of this year (2-0 against Gladbach).
The Gladbachers, who had to do without Alassane Plea and Ramy Bensebaini because of positive corona tests, were also disappointed. National player Florian Neuhaus (5th) gave the hosts the lead, but Daniel Caligiuri equalized shortly before the end (88th). The guests were outnumbered after Raphael Framberger had seen the yellow-red card twelve minutes after his substitution (66th).
It went back and forth in Hoffenheim. After Christoph Baumgartner (16th) scored the hosts’ opening goal, Nicolas Gonzalez (18th) and Silas Wamangituka (27th) turned the game for VfB. But Hoffenheim struck back with Ryan Sessegnon (48th) and Andrej Kramaric with a penalty (71th). It was already the seventh goal of the season by Kramaric, who had to pause three games in the meantime due to Corona. But it wasn’t enough to win because Marc-Oliver Kempf scored in stoppage time for VfB (90 + 3).
