Bayern Munich veteran Javi Martinez appeared on beIN Sports (as captured by PSG Talk) to discuss his squad’s upcoming Champions League tie with Paris Saint-Germain.
Martinez, of course, was wary of just how talented and hungry that PSG will be in the match-up.
“It’s going to be very complicated. I believe that in a (two-legged tie) everything is much more balanced. It will be 50-50,” Martinez said. “We really want to play these matches, it’s a dream when you are a footballer. If we start to mention all the dangers of PSG we never stop. They have a lot of good players. Obviously, the most dangerous are Kylian Mbappé and Neymar.”

Martinez also said that he can how PSG has evolved as a squad over the years.
“In recent seasons, PSG has progressed on one point, which is that it no longer simply plays on its individual qualities, but also with collective qualities,” Martinez remarked. “I also know Ander (Herrera), I played with him. We are in the quarterfinals of the Champions League so obviously, all matches are complicated at this stage of the competition. PSG and Bayern are two teams that could be in the final.”
Indeed, two of the best squads remaining unfortunately will meet in the quarterfinals.
