Bayern Munich is in crisis and recently the team has gone through several setbacks.
Now there was another miscalculation for the German giant. This time against Freiburg.
Christian Günter gave Freiburg the lead after twelve minutes of play. But Bayern Munich came back. In the 35th minute Mathys Tel responded to the equalizer with a classy finish and in the second half Jamal Musiala completed the turnaround.
But Freiburg got the last word. In the 87th minute, Lucas Höler made it 2-2, which was the final score.
– We played too undisciplined. And we offered counterattacks. We were not our positions. It was a bad first half hour in the first half, says Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel in Dazn according to Sky.
He continues:
– It was partly “harakiri”. We did things we never talked about doing. A good half is not enough to win here.
The result means Bayern Munich remain in second place in the Bundesliga, but league leaders Bayer Leverkusen can increase their lead to ten points if they win against Cologne on Sunday. Freiburg is ninth.
