Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Bayern Munich star of Moroccan origin, Noussair Mazraouiquestioned the Israeli attack that took place in Masjid Al-Aqsa.
In his instastory, Mazraoui uploaded a viral video showing Israeli police committing violence against worshipers at the Al Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem, Wednesday (5/4).
“Israeli police attacked worshipers at Al Aqsa Mosque,” Mazraoui wrote on Instagram.
“Why?” continued Mazraoui, who is one of Morocco’s stars at the 2022 World Cup.
Israeli police attacked the Al Aqsa mosque complex, east Jerusalem, while Muslims were praying on Wednesday (5/4) dawn local time. The incident began after Israeli troops hunted down a number of people who were considered agitators who were taking refuge in the building.
The Israeli police claim to have made various attempts at dialogue to get them out. But their efforts failed. The incident during the holy month of Ramadan prompted the Arab League countries to hold an emergency meeting.
