Bayern Munich are looking for a new goalkeeper after it turned out that Manuel Neuer’s recovery will take longer than expected. The idea of bringing Kepa Arrizabalaga to the Bundesliga is gaining momentum, according to Matteo Moretto.
Thomas Tuchel has made it clear: if Manuel Neuer has not been fit since the start of the season, the German champions are in dire need of a new goalkeeper.
In this context, various candidates such as Robert Sánchez and David Raya have recently come up. Both, however, preferred to stay in the Premier League.
The coach does not intend to wait with folded arms for the languid movements of the activists and goes to work himself. According to information provided by Matteo Moretto, the 49-year-old wants a former charge, and it is Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Tuchel indicated that this was a transfer priority for him and asked that this matter be focused on now.
The aforementioned journalist additionally informs that the topic is starting to gain momentum.
Negotiations between Bayern Munich and Chelsea are therefore starting, which should allow for an appropriate solution.
Kepa Arrizabalaga joined Chelsea from Athletic Club in August 2018 for €80 million.
A lot of time has passed since then, but one thing has not changed – the Spaniard is still the most expensive goalkeeper in the history of football.
Recent years have been disappointing for him, however, and he has not always been the first choice for Chelsea managers, and as a result, his price has fallen sharply.
Last season he played 39 games and kept 12 clean sheets.
The contract is valid with the current team until June 30, 2025.
The Bayern-Kepa issue advances.
Thomas Tuchel has chosen and wants the Spanish goalkeeper. It is a priority request for the coach.
Bayern Munich and Chelsea will continue negotiating, in search of an agreement. @relief
