At the end of the contract in a year, Tolisso is one of the Bayern Munich players likely to leave. Unless the club holds him back.
Alexandre Lacazette, Nabil Fekir, Samuel Umtiti, Corentin Tolisso. In the mid-2010s, Olympique Lyonnais and its supporters were able to vibrate under the exploits of their Gones, pure products of the training center. The future belonged to them and the departures to Arsenal, Barça or Bayern Munich should allow them to take a step forward.
Unfortunately, one day’s predictions were not tomorrow’s, like Tolisso. Recruited for more than forty million euros by Bayern Munich, the midfielder has never managed to win over time.
Not spared by the physical glitches and having seen Carlo Ancelotti disembarked from his post only three months after his arrival, Tolisso was not helped.
Confident man of Didier Deschamps in the France team, the native of Tarare failed to exploit his full potential with the German champions. A luxury replacement behind Thiago Alcantara then Kimmich or Goretzka, Corentin Tolisso must be satisfied with crumbs. Can the arrival of Julian Nagelsmann on the Bavarian bench redistribute the cards? Perhaps, but the contractual situation of the former Lyonnais does not work in his favor.
At the end of the contract in June 2022, Tolisso still has not extended with Bayern and there is no indication that discussions have been initiated.
Not wishing to see a free element leave next season like David Alaba this summer, the German club would not be against a sale this summer with an offer around 20 million euros.
On the sidelines of the friendly against Napoli, Hasan Salihamidzic was asked about the situation of Tolisso and of Juventus Turin’s interest in the 2018 world champion.
