Bayern Munich lost Robert Lewandowski this summer and are exploring replacement options. Harry Kane to be one of the names believed to come into consideration.
Bayern sold Lewandowski to Barcelona this summer. After signing Sadio Mane from Liverpool, The Reds was linked with Cristiano Ronaldo.
But Ronaldo rumors died down after Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn explained that the Manchester United star did not fit into the club’s philosophy. Kahn reiterated his club’s position regarding the 37-year-old.

“I like Cristiano Ronaldo and everyone knows what a fantastic player he is… But every club has its own philosophy and I’m not sure if it would be the right signal for Bayern to sign him,” he was quoted as saying. Bild reported Standard.
Later news emerged that Bayern opened the option to recruit Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. Kane himself has in recent seasons always been linked with Tottenham’s exit.
Last season he was believed to be close to joining Manchester City, but ultimately stayed. The presence of Antonio Conte then made the 28-year-old striker resist the urge to leave and keep his distance from rumors this year.
With his contract running out in June 2024, Kane could potentially be at the center of the transfer maelstrom again next year. Bayern Munich did not rule out all possibilities to recruit him.
“He is under contract at Tottenham. For sure he is a top striker, but it is all still a dream for the future,” said Oliver Kahn.
“So let’s see what happens later,” added the former Germany goalkeeper.
